If you get a green position, great, we have done our job. If you do not, or cannot work out the best way forward and want help, look at the Decision Pack or get in touch. If you later ask us to help, we are both already up to speed because the project record exists.

Private residential projects · Prime Central London
Before you sign, pay or mobilise, check the project is genuinely ready to start.
Things are about to get serious, fast. Take one final client-side look across the five areas that can turn an apparently ready project into delay, redesign, dispute or avoidable cost.
For owners making the commitment and advisers helping them make it.
No project documents required at the free stage. WhatsApp is for one short question only.
Why Start-Ready exists
Built from real project experience.
We repeatedly met clients who had secured planning permission but were still unsure what happened next, what remained unresolved or whether the project genuinely supported the commitment they were being asked to make.
Over years of live projects, zeropointone accumulated project reviews, reports, action plans, checklists, correspondence and practical knowledge around the difficult transition from planning permission towards construction. That principal-led experience was reviewed and distilled to identify the issues that kept recurring, the questions clients repeatedly asked, the information commonly missing and the dependencies between design, approvals, consultants, cost, procurement and construction.
Start-Ready turns those recurring patterns into a structured diagnostic, allowing more property owners to benefit from zeropointone's accumulated professional experience quickly, before commissioning a detailed forensic review. The digital format makes that knowledge accessible more consistently. The check is free. The experience behind it took years to build.
Information and interpretation
A checklist can find gaps. The Start Ready lens tells you what matters next.
Planning information, drawings, consultant advice, contractor proposals and your answers describe the project. The five-gate method and experienced professional judgement establish what is significant, what depends on what and which action should come first.
- 01InformationWhat is known and available
- 02InterpretationWhat the position means
- 03DecisionWhat matters most
- 04ActionWhat should happen next
Is one of these decisions approaching?
The contractor wants the start date confirmed
Are the approvals, information and dependencies behind that date actually in place?
A contract or substantial payment is due
What needs to be settled before the commitment becomes difficult or expensive to reverse?
Planning has been secured
What still sits between the permission and a properly supported construction start?
Five connected areas
Check the position behind the proposed start.
A well-developed position in one area cannot remove a significant risk in another. Move across the five areas to see what each one examines.
Planning conditions
Permission, approved drawings, listed building requirements and pre-commencement conditions.
The approved scheme and the work the contractor is pricing or programming are not quite the same.
The result explains the risk and possible consequences. It does not make the decision for you.
What you receive free
Enough information to act without us.
The check diagnoses the likely exposure and gives you a practical first route. It does not hold the useful answer back simply to manufacture a sale.
See whether the answers support proceeding, closing named dependencies first or pausing before commitment.
Potential-stop matters remain visible and are never hidden by a reassuring average.
Know what to check next, who normally owns it and what question to ask.
Keep the result, answers, free guides and actions together and return by magic link.
Use the actions, questions and resources with your own team. If the project supports the proposed start, carry on. If an issue remains difficult to interpret or resolve, optional professional help is available later.
Three clear risk positions
The result states the risk. The decision remains yours.
The percentage describes how far each area has developed. The identified risks determine the overall position.
No significant start risk identified
Carry on with the project team, keep the record and confirm that the supporting information remains current.
Proceeding carries identified risk
Understand how significant the risk is and what it may affect before deciding whether to proceed, resolve it or seek advice.
Significant risk identified
One matter or several connected matters could produce a chain of cost, programme, compliance, contractual or insurance consequences.
Four distinct service levels
Choose the level that matches the project need.
These are routes, not steps that every project must buy. Start with diagnosis and move only where the recorded need justifies more professional input.

Who is behind Start-Ready
Direct private-client experience.
Start-Ready is led by Anthony Lilley through Planning & Project Advisory Ltd, trading as zeropointone. Anthony is based in Central London and works directly with clients and their appointed teams.
The check brings the important pre-start questions into one place so the owner can see what appears settled, what remains uncertain and who should clarify it.
Licence to alter, Party Wall, planning, Building Control, technical coordination, insurance and contractor matters can all appear in the check. Specialist advice remains with the appropriately appointed professional.
Questions before you use it
What clients and advisers usually need to know.
Does this duplicate my architect or project manager?
No. Each appointed adviser remains responsible for their work. Start-Ready gives the client one cross-workstream view of whether the separate parts support the commitment now being requested.
What if my result is green?
Good. That is the intended outcome. Keep the saved record, follow the named actions and continue with the appointed team. There is no reason to buy the Decision Pack simply because it exists.
When are project documents reviewed?
Substantive review of the relevant project evidence belongs to the £950 Resolution Plan. The £395 Decision Pack is based principally on the completed assessment and professional interpretation.
What does the £395 Decision Pack include?
A Decision Position, Priority Actions, 30-Day Action Sequence, Evidence Request List, 20-minute Decision Call, one 30-day Recheck and a qualifying £395 Activation Credit.
Is Start-Ready an authority to begin work?
No. It is not a compliance certificate, legal opinion or authority to start. Appointed professionals and statutory bodies retain their responsibilities.
